Fellow Membership

Fellow Membership recognises you as a leader in independent medical evaluation. It confirms your expertise, professional standing, and commitment to impartial, high-quality assessments. Qualities that insurers, legal professionals, employers, and government bodies value most.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Completed two IME College courses
  • Relevant health or legal registration:
    • Medical Registration certificate; or
    • Legal registration certificate; or
    • Other registration; or
    • Letter of Recommendation (non-health or legal professional)
  • Two redacted medicolegal permanent impairment reports (medical professionals)
  • 50% attendance annually at case study review meetings conducted by IME College
  • Maintained 2 years of Ordinary membership with IME College

Fees at a Glance

We have updated our fee structure to keep the application process clear and straightforward.

  • Application fee: $150 (non-refundable). This fee covers the administration charges for the searches associated with the approval process. Because these searches are conducted regardless of the outcome, the application fee is non-refundable.
  • Annual membership fee: $400 per year. This fee becomes payable only upon successful application, once your membership has been approved.

How it works

Register Account

Start by registering your account. The process is quick, and you will be logged in automatically upon completion.

Select the Fellow Membership

From the membership page, select the fellow membership and add it to cart.

Submit Your Order and Pay the Application Fee

Add your membership and follow the prompts to submit your application. At this stage, you will pay the non-refundable $150 application fee, which covers the administrative searches required to assess your credentials.

Application Review

Your application and supporting documentation are reviewed confidentially. We respect your privacy and maintain secure records of certified examiners only.

Approval and Annual Membership

Upon successful approval, the $400 annual membership fee becomes payable. Once settled, your Fellow Membership is active, and you can enrol in our courses and access all member benefits.

12-Month Renewals

Fellow Membership is renewed every 12 months. Your $400 annual fee keeps your membership current and ensures uninterrupted access to member resources, events, and recognition.
